Privacy Policy

Our Philosophy

Vault was built on a simple premise: your financial data is yours alone. We believe that privacy isn't a feature—it's a fundamental requirement for any modern financial tool. That's why Vault is designed as a local-first application where your data never leaves your Mac.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal financial information. This includes your bank statements, transaction history, expense categories, or any other data you import into Vault. We have no servers to store your data, and we have no interest in seeing it.

Local Processing & AI

All analysis, including the categorization of your expenses using AI, happens entirely on your local machine. Vault utilizes macOS's local computing capabilities to process your data. No transaction data is ever sent to third-party AI providers or cloud services.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a local database on your Mac. You have full control over this data. If you delete the application and its associated support files, your data is gone forever—we don't keep backups because we never had it in the first place.

Third-Party Services

Vault does not use third-party analytics in the application itself. Our website (vault.app) may use minimal, privacy-focused analytics to understand traffic, but this is never linked to your usage of the desktop application.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Modified" date.
